A Bit About Me

Life can be challenging, and sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. As a psychotherapist, my mission is to help you navigate these moments with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I know firsthand how transformative therapy can be—not just from my professional training but from my own lived experience.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent two decades building and running an industrial business. On the surface, I was successful, but deep down, I felt unfulfilled. The way I was living no longer aligned with my well-being, and I knew something had to change. At 40, I made the courageous decision to sell my business, return to school, and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Along the way, I faced anxiety, depression, and the uncertainty of redefining my identity. Therapy became my anchor, helping me cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and a more meaningful life.

Now, I use both my professional expertise and personal experience to guide others through their own transitions and challenges. My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs, drawing from different modalities to support you in the best way possible. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the power of growth, healing, and connection. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.

Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, dealing with anxiety or depression, or simply seeking a more fulfilling way to show up in the world, I’m here to help. You don’t have to do this alone—together, we can work toward a life that feels more aligned, authentic, and whole.

Perry's Story

Perry is a compassionate and insightful Psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and uncover their true potential. His approach to therapy is deeply rooted in empathy, understanding, and a genuine belief in the resilience of the human spirit. Perry’s mission is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions, free from judgment, and move toward healing and personal growth.

Before becoming a therapist, Perry spent years as an entrepreneur, experiencing firsthand the pressures and unpredictability of life. A period of personal adversity led him to a profound realization—helping others heal was his true calling. This transformation inspired him to pursue degrees in psychology and sociology, culminating in a master’s in counselling psychology. His diverse academic background allows him to approach therapy with a well-rounded and deeply informed perspective on the human experience.

Perry has extensive experience working with individuals from all walks of life, including those facing mental health challenges, addiction, and housing insecurity. He understands that life’s difficulties can impact anyone, and his unwavering commitment to meeting each client with compassion and respect is at the core of his practice.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Perry is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure he provides the highest standard of care. He integrates various evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Humanistic Therapy. This personalized approach allows him to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs—helping them identify unconscious patterns, shift unhelpful thought processes, and foster deeper emotional connections.

Perry works with individuals, teens, families, and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, anger management, substance use, personality and adjustment disorders, and challenges related to modern masculinity. He is also passionate about supporting those affected by domestic violence and life transitions. As a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Perry ensures that all clients feel seen, heard, and valued in their therapeutic journey.
